Imbieriniai Sausainiai su Ruduoju Cukrumi/ Chewy Brown Sugar Ginger Cookies

Pagal ScientificallySweet

Šiandien mano telefonas 'numirė'. Kas mane labai nuliūdino, nes šiais laikais be telefono mes tampame visai neįgaliais, pasimetusiais.

Vienetai: 24

Produktai:

1,75 stiklinės miltų
1,5 a.š. malto imbiero
0,5 a.š. kepimo sodos
0,5 a.š. druskos
2/3 stiklinės (160 gr) sviesto, kambario temperatūros
1,3 stiklinės rudojo cukraus
1 didelis kiaušinis, kambario temperatūros
1 didelis kiaušinio trynys, kambario temperatūros
1 a.š. melasos
1,5 a.š. vanilės ekstrakto

Apvoliojimui:

0,5 stiklinės cukraus

Gaminimo procesas:

Today, my phone 'died'. Completely. I was very upset about that because these days without a phone we become completely incapacitated and confused. That's when you realize how addicted you are.
That was my excuse to make some cookies to comfort myself. I do not know why but usually cookies are so hard to resist. This does not happen with the cookies from the store, but if I bake at home..I start eating them as soon as I take them out of the oven. And they start disappearing really fast. I usually try to make half the ingredients, have no idea what would happen if I would make the whole batch.

If you had a bad day like me..here have a chewy brown sugar ginger cookie.

Makes: 24

Products:

1,75 cups flour
1,5 tsp ground ginger
0,5 tsp baking soda
0,5 tsp salt
2/3 cup (160 gr) butter, room temperature
1,3 cups brown sugar
1 large egg, room temperature
1 large egg yolk, room temperature
1 tsp molasses
1,5 tsp vanilla extract

For rolling:

0,5 cup sugar

Method:

In a medium bowl, mix the flour, ginger, baking soda and salt.
In a large bowl, beat together butter and brown sugar until smooth. Mix in molasses. Mix in the egg until smooth. Finally mix in the yolk and vanilla extract.

Add the flour mixture into the butter mixture and stir mix everything until it is incorporated, do not overmix, the dough has to be soft and moist. Press the cling wrap directly on the surface of the dough and leave in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours or overnight.

Preheat the oven to 180C. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
Shape 2.5 cm diameter balls and roll them in sugar. Place on the baking trays leaving about 5 cm in between.

Bake until the cookies are golden brown and top is cracked (about 10 minutes). Allow the cookies to cool on the baking trays for about 30 minutes before moving them on the wire rack and let it cool completely.
